Lauren comes to Buy Fresh Buy Local Nebraska® Nebraska with a deep interest in the health and accessibility of local food systems and the economic well being of communities across Nebraska. She has worked with farmers' markets in Idaho and Seattle to conduct market assessments, pricing studies, and to promote seasonal, local eating.Lauren is originally from Idaho and has lived, worked and studies in Italy, China, and the Northwest, before moving to Nebraska in 2013. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Seattle University and previously worked for the Center for Rural Affairs in the rural public policy program, where she did education, outreach and organizing work with rural communities to shape energy, climate and healthcare policy.
